Wonderful bakery/Patisserie on the Eastern side of Toowoomba!
Provides excellent Crossiants and sausage rolls and pies ,pastries and sweet treats
It’s very popular and often times there’s a long queue out the door waiting to be served! But be assured that the wait is worth the time spent
Whilst everything looked lovely, I paid $27 for a beef sausage rolls and 2 pastries. The beef sausage roll tasted no different to the ones you buy from a petrol station, the only difference is this one had flaky pastry.
The strawberry cheesecake pastry was below expectations, tasted more like a yoghurt than a cream cheese.
The cinnamon bun was my favourite and I would order it, if I went again. The pastry layers were all covered in cinnamon sugar and was so fluffy inside.
Also unfortunately they appeared to be over cooked
It's nice, but I will try a different bakery on my next visit to Toowoomba.
This is a popular place. We went here because we saw the billboard on the highway and then saw it had good reviews on Google.
We had a croissant, quiche, and cinnamon scroll croughnut. Food was nice but nothing to write home about. Cost $36 for those 3 things and a bottle of OJ.
It came highly recommended though that might have raised my expectations too high...
We arrived on a drizzly Saturday morning to a fairly busy/bustling little corner store cafe, and managed to get some of the last remaining seats inside. I was told they sell pies but I didn’t see any, so maybe those were already sold out. So we tried a few other items:
* almond croissant, $9.50
Decent compared to others in/around Brisbane I’ve tried, though couldn’t dethrone my favourites. It has a good amount of frangipane that wasn’t too sweet. It was also getting pretty close to Lune’s pricing for the same item so that’s getting up there.
* pork, sage & apple sausage roll, $8.50
Good sized serve, and it was still steaming hot inside. Wouldn’t say the pastry was particularly crispy/flaky on the outside, nor the filling firm with good bite on the inside… overall flavour was nice but not my preferred style of sausage roll.
* bacon quiche, $8.50
Pretty good. This was the boy’s choice and he ate almost all of it. I tried some and found it quite agreeable to my tastes.
* pumpkin, spinach & feta quiche, $8.50
Didn’t try any but it seemed to be consistent with the bacon version.
Next time I'll try some of the sweet stuff, and maybe even make an effort to catch a pie.
The Pastries is very good, love it. It is a must try place if you are at Toowoomba. Will not be disappointed.
The coffee was perfectly unsweet (mocha) and paired absolutely perfectly with the strawberry cheesecake pastry I purchased. The vibe is perfect and so was the service and the food. Totally worth a drive up from Brisbane!! Will be back!
This place must base it's prices on Argentinian inflation rates; almost $30 for a pie, Danish pastry and a coffee! …
Absolutely adore it, a genuinely delightful pastry. The long black coffee is unquestionably tasty. Additionally, their selection of cakes is simply divine, with each slice offering a heavenly blend of flavors and a moist, fluffy texture that brings pure joy to the palate.
